We are having...

a GIRL!!!

I had my ultrasound on Friday. I was in the room by myself for awhile so I knew before Jeremy and Kaden got to come in. Kaden was kind of disappointed for a minute, but luckily he changed his tune rather quickly. My mom and stepdad were in the waiting room so Kaden walked out there and showed my mom the pictures and said, "I am having a girl. Here are her parts." as he was pointing to the picture of her butt and thighs. It was priceless! We still don't have her name figured out. We are debating between two names....Kennedy and Kendra. We may even go with some other K name. We want to look at a few name books before we make the final decision.

After the ultrasound we went out for breakfast and then shopping. Kaden had so much fun looking at all the girls clothes. He even picked an outfit out for her. It is so cute! There were so many great deals at the stores. We bought stuff for summer and fall. It was so weird being able to shop for little girls. The only time I have ever done that was for someone's gift.

I even found her bedding and we even bought her a new travel system. So now the only thing we need is a new bouncy seat. I got rid of the one I had for Kaden. We now need to figure out how we are going to paint her room. I don't want it just a solid color. Jeremy is pretty creative so I can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! We sure did!

19 weeks +1 day

So sorry that I haven't blogged lately. Things have just been crazy! We are not in our house and it is now the middle of January. This is getting ridiculous...but I truly believe that the end is in site. We are getting closer and closer to a closing date.

As far as the pregnancy goes...everything is going great! I can't tell you how nice it is having a "normal" pregnancy. It is just so nice not having to do the Lovenox injections everyday. I don't miss those one bit. I had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday (which is when this picture was taken) and everything sounded great! I took Kaden with me so that he could hear the heartbeat on the doppler. He was pretty excited about it! I have gained two pounds since December's appointment. I don't think that that is too bad.

Here is what is going on with the baby this week...It weighs about 8.5 ounces and is about 6 inches long, head to bottom. It's arms and legs are in the right proportion to each other and the rest of it's body. The kidneys continue to make urine and hair on the scalp is sprouting. I can't believe that I am almost half way through this pregnancy. It has flown by. We find out what we are having in two weeks! We can't wait!
Hope everyone has a nice weekend!
