1st Grade

Once again I ask myself...where has the time gone??? I swear that it was just the other day when we were bringing Kaden home from the hospital. Now we are taking him to his sporting events, listening to him talk about girls at school and just living life through the eyes of a six year old. How could six years have flown by so fast?

Luckily he had a great day! Hopefully the whole year goes as well as yesterday. His teacher is one that I had when I was in third grade and I loved her. I think that he will too. :o)

Bowling, Field Day and Projects

Last week was a very busy week for Kaden. He had a field trip to the bowling alley on Wednesday and then Field Day last Friday.

Kaden had so much fun! He scored a 46 in only 5 frames.

Field day was so much fun! Jodi and my mom watched Kinley so that I could help out. I have such great memories of Field Day. Hopefully Kaden will too!

Now onto our latest projects that we have been doing. We decided that we wanted to put rubber mulch in the swing set area. Jeremy and my brother built a little wall to keep the mulch in and 60 bags of mulch later here is what we have. I love it...and so do the kids!

My mom was getting a shed built so while the concrete guys were doing that we figured what better time than to add to our patio. We are so glad that we did. We nearly doubled it and it was worth every penny.

Of course I had to have the kids footprints put into the concrete. I love how they turned out.

First Day of School

Today was Kaden's first day of preschool. Luckily he was very excited to go. There are three boys that are in his class this year that were also in it last year. Two of them are his really good buddies. All summer he has been asking about Cayden and Cole so today he finally got to play with them. Here are a few pictures of him before he left for school...

Christmas Party

So on Tuesday Kaden had his Christmas Party in his preschool class. I went to it as usual. I just love doing stuff like this...and I think that his teacher is glad that I come too. I usually take pictures of all the kids and then make her a disc so that she has all the pictures as well. Kaden was all decked out with some black corduroy pants and a cute plaid shirt. Doesn't he look like a such a little man?

Parent/Teacher Conferences

So tonight Jeremy and I had Kaden's parent/teacher conferences. I was kind of nervous about it...I really don't know why. It went very well! His teacher said that he is such a joy to have in class. She said that he always has a smile on his face and is very funny. For being only three years old she said that he is doing exceptionally well. If that doesn't make a parent feel super good about their child, I don't know what will.
