Lab Results

I got my results today from all the blood work I had done last Monday and Tuesday. Everything came back just fine. I am not sure of all the tests that my doc had me tested for...but my main concerns were with the thyroid and homo cysteine. I am relieved that everything came back normal...but at the same time I was kind of hoping that some level would be off just so that I could chalk up both miscarriages to that. I guess that my doc was right when she said that she feels that it was a fluke that I had two miscarriages back to back.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Jeremy and I are home together all weekend with the little man. We went to see UP tonight in 3-D. It was awesome! We have a few other fun things planned too! It doesn't happen very often that Jeremy isn't working a Saturday, so we are taking full advantage of him being home for three full days! :o)

Doctor's Appointment

So today was the day to get all of my questions answered. I felt pretty good walking out of there. I did go to the lab right away and have a ton of blood work done too. My doc didn't feel that it was completely necessary...but I think that she knew that it would make me feel better.

I did ask her a few things about the first miscarriage. I have always wondered if anything looked out of the norm when I had my ultrasound done at MFM at 7 weeks. She checked my chart and everything looked great then. The heartbeat was 128 and I was measuring right on target. Who knows what happened between that day and my 11 week visit which is the day I had my D&C.

She really thinks that it was a fluke that I have had these miscarriages. She really feels that all my blood tests will come back just fine. Obviously I got pregnant with Kaden when all odds were against him...and he was one big and healthy boy. She kept telling me that I will have another Kaden. I sure hope that she is right. Now I will just have to be patient. That is the hard part...

Check-Up

So I had my check-up today with my OB. I was expecting her to tell me that something was wrong with me. If you know me, you know that I always expect the worst. To my surprise everything was just fine. Hopefully that means that I won't have another miscarrige ever again. I can only hope. So hopefully in the next few months I will be pregnant again. I will keep you all posted.

First Appointments

I had my first appointment today with MFM. I was told that it was only a consultation appointment to talk about the Factor V and the MTHFR. Little did I know that I would be getting an ultrasound too. I felt pretty bad that I didn't have Jeremy come, but he needed to get Kaden from school and I really didn't think that it was worth it for him to come. Obviously I should have had him come...but luckily he isn't upset about it. My mom met me at the hospital so her and I both got to see the little peanut and hear the heartbeat. I also got the prescription to start the Lovenox. I am not looking forward to this, but I know that I must do it. At least with this pregnancy this didn't come as a surprise. Now I know that I am definitely pregnant, but I still don't feel like it. I guess that this is a good thing.

After the MFM appointment I had and appointment with my OBs office. I just had to meet with the nurse this time so it was a quick and easy appointment. Hopefully everything continues to go smooth like this.
